SAN JOSÉ, CA (Nov 19, 2021) — “I’m disappointed but not surprised by today’s verdict. Those who engage in protest for social justice and equity should not be expected to accept the potential for violence. And Black jurists should not be systematically excluded from the judicial process. Today’s verdict arrived in the midst of our Innovating Equity Summit, underscoring the fact that although progress on DEI is underway in the workplace and the boardroom, we still have a long way to go when it comes to achieving a racially just and equitable society. This verdict, while extremely disappointing, is sadly not an anomaly. We remain focused on advancing business and policy solutions that will help tackle systemic inequalities and promote greater inclusion and justice for all.”
