An Announcement on COVID-19 From CEO Carl Guardino

March 17, 2020 Update:

Yesterday, six Bay Area Counties, including Santa Clara County, ordered that we “Shelter in Place” for the foreseeable future, to allow our region to address the COVID-19 situation we all face.

Your Silicon Valley Leadership Group professional staff will of course be abiding by the directive, and our team will work from home as we continue to deliver your top priorities, as well as assist our companies and communities throughout this challenging time.

With a belief that we “plan, not panic,” we will tackle these challenges together; as leaders always do.

The Silicon Valley Leadership Group is aware of and deeply concerned about the growing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its threat to public health. We are closely following the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the California Department of Public Health, and the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department.

After careful consideration, and advice from our respected healthcare members, we have an important update on our upcoming events that fall within the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department’s Order of March 9, 2020.

  • Regional Economic Forum: March 27, 2020 – POSTPONED and will be rescheduled.
  • Lam Research Heart & Soles Run: March 28, 2020 – VIRTUAL RACE, RUN OR RUN/WALK. For more info visit http://bit.ly/2GzMXRJ.
  • Washington D.C. Advocacy Trip: March 30 -31, 2020 – POSTPONED and will be rescheduled.

Thank you for your understanding as we make these decisions in what we feel is in the best interest of our member companies, the Leadership Group staff, and the public in general.

Warm Regards,

Carl Guardino
