Peter serves as General Counsel and SVP of Tech Policy for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, where he focuses on autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, data privacy, international trade, and immigration. He began his legal career in Intellectual Property litigation, and has also worked as In-House Counsel for a financial advisory firm.
In addition to his experience in Silicon Valley, he served as a Deputy District Attorney for over five years, where he prosecuted narcotics crimes, violent offenses, and financial crimes.
Peter is an elected Council Member in Gilroy where he lives, and served a term as the City's Mayor Pro Tem.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from U.C. Berkeley, and a Juris Doctorate from Harvard.
Peter is bilingual in English and Spanish. He has been quoted in a variety of publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, China Global Television Network, The SF Chronicle, and San Jose Mercury, among others.
He earned a BA with honors in Political Science from UC Berkeley and a JD from Harvard Law School.
He is married to Rosanna Leroe-Muñoz, who is the Chief Revenue Officer at a fintech start-up. Peter and Rosanna enjoy working out, attending Cal football games, and participating in events for various non-profit organizations.
