Every year, the Silicon Valley Business Journal (SVBJ) seeks to highlight leaders under 40 that have distinguished themselves in their fields and communities. A cross-section of entrepreneurs, inventors, executives, and visionaries from numerous disciplines, the “40 Under 40” honorees represent the various ways we can each influence and shape positive change, felt by many, in our region and country.
This year’s 2020 40 Under 40 honorees hold special meaning for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. We’re thrilled to share that one of our professional staff members, Angelica Cortez, and two of our member company executives, Hannah Gordon of the San Francisco 49ers and Frank Mycroft of Booster Fuels, were among the notable honorees this year!
We were able to catch up with Angelica, Hannah, and Frank to hear their thoughts on being recognized this year:
“It is a privilege to stand alongside fellow SVLG colleagues as one of the Biz Journal’s 40 Under 40 honorees. At Booster, we are on a mission to deliver the world’s safest, cleanest, healthiest alternative to traditional fueling and through our partnership with SVLG and its member companies, we look forward to driving continued innovations that benefit our communities and the nation.” – Frank Mycroft, Founder and CEO, Booster Fuels
“After meeting everyone via Zoom, learning about their respective missions, and feeling everyone’s virtual vibrations, I look forward to creating a community with my fellow 40 Under 40 cohort mates. Together, we can all get into some good trouble!” – Angelica Cortez, Director of Investor Relations and Strategic Initiatives, Silicon Valley Leadership Group and Founder of LEAD Filipino
“Given the innovation and strong business leadership across the region, I was honored to be named, along with representatives from SVLG and its member companies, to the Silicon Valley Business Journal Forty Under 40.” – Hannah Gordon, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, San Francisco 49ers
