Roadmap to Progress: California’s Transportation Agenda with Secretary Toks Omishakin
As we start a new year, what are the priorities for California’s top transportation leader? Toks Omishakin is starting his third year as California’s Secretary of Transportation, where he leads eight state departments, boards and commissions that, combined, have more than 42,000 employees and a budget that exceeds $30 billion annually.
2024 looks to be a pivotal year in transportation for the Bay Area and California at-large. Electric vehicles are making leaps and bounds, BART continues to progress in its efforts to bring rail around the Bay, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission is pursuing a nine county ballot measure that would help meet the Bay Area’s need for a world class transportation network.
Join us at member company Aurora in Mountain View on Wednesday, February 21 as their president, Ossa Fisher, moderates a wide-ranging discussion with California’s transportation leader, and learn what lies ahead for 2024. Check-in will start at 10:00 AM, the roundtable discussion will run from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM PT, and our hosts have offered to take attendees on a tour of the Aurora facility after the roundtable ends.
