15th Annual Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot Schedule, Thanksgiving Morning, November 28, 2019

San Jose, CA – Who/What: 23,000 people giving back to their community on Thanksgiving morning at the 15th Annual Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot, produced by the Silicon Valley Leadership Foundation. Beneficiaries include The Housing Trust, Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley, Healthier Kids Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County and The Health Trust.

  • FINISH: Santa Clara Street at Delmas Street

Why: To help families in need in our community. In the past 14 years, we have donated $8.7 million to local charities. Our goal for this year is to donate an additional $1,000,000! Plus, it’s a great way to start the day and get ready for those extra pieces of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving dinner.

  • 8:00 am: Elite Men’s 5K sponsored by Juniper Networks & PA/USATF Men sponsored by PG&E – Air travel provided by Alaska Airlines
  • 8:25 am: 10K Wheelchair
  • 8:30 am: 5K/10K Mass Participation Start (by designated Corrals)
  • 9:00 am: Kids activities begin in Kids Fun Zone sponsored by Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital
  • 10:00 am: Elite Awards Ceremony (all “open” winners will receive a medal and gift card)
  • 10:30 am: Kid’s Fun Run sponsored by First 5 Santa Clara County (ages 2-7) -Autumn and W. St. John St.
  • 12:00 pm: Event Conclusion

Parking: For the media– TV live trucks and crew can park on Santa Clara or First St. by the stage, free of charge. For the public – There are a number of parking locations within a short walk from the Start and Finish lines.
