SAN JOSE, CA – Three city mayors along with California’s secretary of state will join tech CEOs, public officials and others in celebrating diversity, inclusion and innovation at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group’s Annual Public Policy Luncheon on Wednesday, November 1st.
The sold-out event will feature a “Best Practices for More Gender & Ethnic Diversity in Our Innovation Economy” panel including Julia Hu, Co-founder and CEO of Lark, Ahmad Wani, Co-founder and CEO of One Concern, Greg Becker, CEO of Silicon Valley Bank, San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo. More than 1,200 attendees will be inspired by personal stories of immigration and perseverance by elected leaders and CEOs such as Alex Padilla, Secretary of State, Aart de Geus, Chairman and co-CEO of Synopsys and Ibi Krukrubo, Managing Partner of EY.
In addition, there will be special guests speaking to “Strengthening Diversity and Inclusion“and how people can support initiatives in their own community and special recognition of Suzanne and Godfrey Sullivan, this year’s recipients of the Spirit of Silicon Valley Lifetime Achievement Award.
