The Silicon Valley Leadership Group regularly holds The Young Women’s and Young Men’s Leadership Summits to help empower young girls and boys from local under-resourced schools. These events bring together adults from local companies and non-profit organizations to mentor students and explore careers in the science, technology, engineering and math fields.

Every year approximately 400 middle school girls and 150 female executives attend the Young Women’s Leadership Summit, a conference that encourages middle school girls to pursue careers in STEM fields and leadership. Throughout the day, students listen to women share inspirational stories and participate in a hands-on STEM activity. Past keynotes include Maria Shriver, Four-time Olympian and Stanford athlete, Brenda Villa, and Attorney General Kamala Harris.

The next Young Women’s Leadership Summit will be held December 5, 2019. Learn more.
