ABOUT THE EVENT

This year’s agenda will focus on specific solutions to encourage U.S. economic growth. On the heels of a historic election, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group is prepared to advance a greater understanding between Silicon Valley innovators and Washington D.C. leaders.

This trip presents an opportunity for the delegation to meet with Senate and Congressional leaders and key Administration officials. In addition to high-level visits, the trip will feature many networking opportunities with various Silicon Valley industry leaders. Among them are this year’s advocacy trip co-chairs: Silicon Valley Bank CEO Greg Becker, San Mateo County Supervisor Dave Pine, Insikt CEO James Gutierrez, Santa Clara County Board President Joe Simitian, Western Digital CEO Steve Milligan, San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, & SunPower CEO Tom Werner.

The Leadership Group federal policy agenda includes but is not limited to:

  • Immigration Reform – DACA & H1B Visa
  • Repeal Amortization of R&D
  • EV Tax Credit
  • Global Climate Change (Carbon Tax)

Hotel reservations are made at The Jefferson Hotel in the heart of Washington, D.C., ranked the third best Hotel in the United States by U.S. News & World Report and featured by Forbes, Michelin, & the Historic Hotels of America.

The Leadership Group is pleased to be offering our guests a one night stay at The Jefferson Hotel, which is included in your ticket purchase.  The Jefferson Hotel is located at 1200 16th St NW, Washington, DC 20036. Please note the trip cost does not include airfare and trip participants are responsible for their own airline reservations. Several Leadership Group member carriers offer direct or one-stop flights from the Bay Area to the greater Washington, D.C. area including Alaska Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines.
