Executive Vice President, Semiconductor Business Organization
Bobby R. Bell is executive vice president of KLA-Tencor’s Semiconductor Business Organization. An industry veteran with more than 32 years of experience, Bell is responsible for overseeing several key divisions for the company. This includes the Global Products Group, which includes all aspects of the company’s core semiconductor equipment product business; Global Customer Solutions Group, including business development, product deployment, and marketing; and the Global Customer Organization, including customer satisfaction, quality, and the company’s fabless programs for semiconductor customers.
After joining KLA-Tencor in 1994, Bell initially served as a senior engineer in applications development and has since held a number of strategic management positions across several divisions of the company, including leading the company’s global field operations, corporate sales, corporate marketing and service business. Prior to his current role, Bell served as executive vice president of the Wafer Inspection Group.
Before his tenure at KLA-Tencor, Bell worked at AT&T Technology Systems and AT&T Microelectronics in areas of yield, defect reduction, process integration, product engineering and management. He also served 18 months as AT&T’s assignee at SEMATECH, a prominent semiconductor industry consortium.
Bell earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Arkansas and his master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri.
