Voleck Taing brings a decade of Legislative experience to their role as Vice President of Government Relations at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. Their past policy areas of experience and interests are climate change, natural resource, social justice, reforming state agency's licensure process, economic development, and many others.
Voleck started their career as a third house intern prior to joining the California Legislature, setting off a decade of navigating the complex world of politics and policy in California’s challenging political landscape. Most recently, Voleck served as Legislative Director for Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi and then-Majority Leader Ian Calderon. They received a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, Davis.
In 2021, Voleck was nationally recognized as one of the trailblazing Asian American Pacific Islander on the unelected side of politics by the National Association of Asian Pacific in Politics and Public Affairs’ list of top 40 under 40 professionals.
From 2018 to 2020, Voleck was instrumental in establishing the Blockchain Working Group, administered by the State’s Government Operations Agency, and contributed to the report tasked at identifying potential uses, risks, and the benefits of blockchain technology in state government and the business communities.
