Vice President, Advanced Programs
Douglas R. “Doug” Graham was named vice president for Advanced Programs, Strategic and Missile Defense Systems, Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company in January 2008
Mr. Graham leads an organization of nearly 1,500 employees in California, Pennsylvania, Alabama and the United Kingdom. He is responsible for leveraging current programs, capabilities and technology investments to expand Lockheed Martin’s role in support of U.S. and international missile defense and strategic missile system customers. This includes developing advanced capabilities to address key national security mission needs such as: enhancing the robustness of the ballistic missile defense system; precision global strike options for the warfighter, and advanced directed energy weapons.
He came to Lockheed Martin from the Department of Defense where he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategic Defense, Space and Verification Policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. His government career included assignments as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Senate Affairs and Professional Staff Member, Committee on Armed Services, United States Senate. In 1993, he received the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service.
Mr. Graham graduated from Amherst College in Amherst, Mass., in 1981 and received a master’s degree in government from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., in 1988.
He lives in Morgan Hill, Calif., with his wife Margaret, and they have three children.
