Silicon Valley Leadership Group Appoints Two New Board Members

The Silicon Valley Leadership Group has appointed William E. Rhodes III, President of Cell Analysis for BD Biosciences, and Edward W. Barnholt, Chairman of the Board of KLA-Tencor Corporation, to its board of directors.

Rhodes assumed his current role with BD Biosciences in 2003. Prior to joining BD in 1998, Rhodes served in senior business development positions for Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer and was president of William-James Co., a biomedical consulting firm. He currently serves on the board of the California Healthcare Institute.

Barnholt has been a director of KLA-Tencor Corporation since 1995 and is a former chairman, president and CEO of Agilent Technologies. In addition, he currently serves as a director on the boards of EBay, Adobe, the Packard Foundation and the Tech Museum of Innovation.
