Silicon Valley Leadership Group CEO Carl Guardino to Host New Weekly Talk Show on 1590 KLIV; "The CEO Show" Will Discuss Valley Issues and Trends Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Starting February 13 with Synopsys CEO Aart de Geus

The Silicon Valley Leadership Group and Empire Broadcasting announced today the launch of a new live weekly talk program, "The CEO Show," hosted by Carl Guardino, President and CEO of the Leadership Group, that will air on AM radio station 1590 KLIV beginning February 13.

Each Tuesday at 7 p.m. Guardino will feature a guest CEO or senior executive from a top Silicon Valley company to discuss important issues impacting the region and take calls from listeners.

Synopsys chairman, CEO and co-founder Aart de Geus will be the premier guest on the program next Tuesday. Future guests this month include Specialized Bike founder and CEO Mike Sinyard with America's first Tour de France champion Greg LeMond on February 20, and Cisco treasurer and senior vice president Dave Holland with Oakland A's owner Lew Wolff on February 27.

The "CEO Show" is part of a new series of weeknight community affairs programs on KLIV, Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m. San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed will take calls from listeners one Monday each month, Wednesdays will feature a program of speakers from the San Jose Rotary Club, and Thursdays will air speakers from Commonwealth Club events.

"With so many important issues affecting our regional economy and the quality of life in Silicon Valley, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect the community directly with the key decision makers involved," said Guardino, whose organization represents 210 companies in four counties. "KLIV listeners will get first-hand information from the CEOs, be able to ask questions of our guests and voice opinions on a wide range of topics."

Guardino has been the chief executive of the Leadership Group for the past ten years and is active in a wide variety of business, civic and charitable organizations. He writes frequently for Silicon Valley newspapers on issues and trends impacting the economic vitality and quality of life in the region, and writes a monthly column for San Jose Magazine.
